Seeking Student Artists

Huntsville Art Crowd is once again seeking student artists. We very much welcome participation from youth artists, and our friendly group of experienced professionals is available to assist them in many ways, on their way to becoming professional artists in Muskoka and beyond.

In 2008, Huntsville High School art students, Taryn Reed and Brittany Cutter, received bursaries from the Huntsville Art Crowd in the amount of $300 and $200 respectively. Students who are interested in applying for bursaries should seek involvement with the Huntsville Art Crowd in any of the following ways:

Ø Become a member of the Huntsville Art Crowd: student memberships are only $10 per year and include opportunities for participation in Open Studio nights www.openstudiohuntsville.blogspot.com/, demos & workshops, and other Huntsville Art Crowd shows, events, and contests. Ø As a member, students can list a profile on our website with links to their own (art-related) blogs/websites. Examples at http://www.huntsville-artcrowd.blogspot.com/

Ø Earn volunteer hours as a student volunteer with the Huntsville Art Crowd, by helping out with any of our many events throughout the year, or behind-the-scenes with planning and administration activities.

Ø Participate in our Algonquin Theatre exhibition in April by submitting theme-related artworks for display/sale. Student cost = $5 for each item exhibited. More info at http://tinyurl.com/b8opqu

Ø Participate in our spring and/or summer shows, by running a booth, individually, or as a team, at no cost. More info at http://tinyurl.com/b8opqu

The Huntsville Art Crowd is an incorporated not-for-profit arts club providing a venue which encourages creativity and ongoing learning through networking and collegiality, while providing opportunities for the promotion and growth of visual and functional arts in the community.
