G8 Familiarization Tour Exhibition at Mark O'Meara Club House

A great display put on by the members of the Huntsville Art Society for the G8 Familiarization Tour weekend January 30th. Attending were writers from Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Russia and the UK, as well as members of the Summit Management Office. Photos shown here were during set up.

Thank you to Suzann Greenaway who was the Presentation Coordinator, and the following participating Artists: Patricia Nolan Astley, Lloyd Walton, Donna Buchan, Jenny Kirkpatrick, Tammy Gravina, Pat Whittle, Susan Higgins, Terry Gill, Janine Marson, and Col Mitchell.

Organizers were well pleased with the addition of the Exhibition and Muskoka Tourism graciously presented HAS with an honorarium of $200.

HAS responded with the following letter:

I received the cheque for $200 and wanted to thank you so much for this wonderful donation to the organization!

A heartfelt thank you on behalf of the participating artists goes out to all the organizers, Grandview management, and staff, who's warmth, friendliness, attention and consideration made everyone feel special. Many remarks by the artists conveyed clear enjoyment of the evening, appreciation for the inclusion and opportunity to greet, make welcome and connect with the gracious and genuine individuals from abroad. The food by itself was a delight; kudos to the kitchen and servers for impeccable and joyful presentation. It was such a lovely evening, and will be remembered with high regard.

We look forward to assisting or complimenting any similar future endeavours.

Warmest regards,
Col Mitchell
